CSS to Broadcast Three 2008 Marshall Football Television Games

HUNTINGTON, W.Va. - Three additional 2008 Marshall University football games have been slated for a live television broadcast as Comcast/Charter Sports Southeast (CSS) will air three of the Thundering Herd's eight Conference USA contests on the regional network.
Marshall's C-USA home-opener versus Memphis (Sept. 13) and its matchup against defending league champion UCF (Nov. 15) at Joan C. Edwards Stadium will be televised on CSS, as well as the Herd's Sept. 20 road tilt at Southern Miss.
The Memphis game, originally scheduled for a 4:30 p.m. ET start, has been moved to 7 p.m. ET to accommodate television. Marshall's contest in Hattiesburg, Miss., against the Golden Eagles will begin at 3:30 p.m. ET while the UCF game remains a 4:30 p.m. ET start.
Marshall has already been scheduled to play national television games on ESPN versus Cincinnati (Oct. 3), ESPN2 versus Houston (Oct. 28) and CBS College Sports at East Carolina (Nov. 8).
CSS is a 24-hour sports channel serving approximately 5.8 million cable subscribers across twelve southeastern states. Launched in 1999, the network is a partnership between Comcast Corporation and Charter Communications. CSS carries a full slate of college sports programming including over 45 live football games, 110 college football replay games, more than 160 men's and women's live college basketball games and 60 live baseball games, as well as a comprehensive mix of sports news and in-depth sports analysis geared toward fans in the Southeast.
