Miami, Fla. - The Marshall University men's soccer team looks for its fourth win in five matches, and looks to improve to 2-0 in Conference USA action as they take on the Panthers of Florida International on Saturday night at University Park Stadium in Miami, Fla.
The Herd (4-4-1, 1-0 C-USA) is coming off an impressive 2-0 victory against VMI on Wednesday night. Freshman Tom Jackson scored his first collegiate goal and it proved to be the game-winner, while junior Matt Butler tallied his second goal of the season. Both goals came in the first half.
After beating Kentucky to start the Conference USA schedule, MU sits at the top of the standings with Memphis and Tulsa at 1-0. A win versus FIU (3-5, 0-1 C-USA) would give the Herd six points before playing a conference match at home.
FIU is led by Sebastian Frings who's five goals is the second most in C-USA.
Kickoff in Miami is scheduled for 7 p.m.
