Marshall Men's Golf Heads To Xavier Invitational

The Marshall University men's golf team heads to the Xavier Invitational at the Oasis Golf Course in Cincinnati, Ohio, Oct. 5-6. Monday's play will feature 36 holes with the final 18 holes coming on Tuesday. Play will begin with a shotgun start at 8:30 a.m. on both days.
Joining Marshall in the field are: Akron, Austin Peay, Ball State, Bowling Green, Cleveland State, Dayton, DePaul, Eastern Kentucky, Marquette, Ohio, Princeton, and the host, Xavier.
The Herd is coming off a 14th place finish at The Wolverine at Radick Farms last weekend in Ann Arbor, Mich. Bennett Boyer (Jr., Millersburg, Pa., Millersburg Area H.S.) led MU by recording a 17th place finish (217) during the 54-hole meet. Boyer will pace the Marshall lineup at Xavier.
Complementing Boyer in this week's lineup will be Bosten Miller (So., Charleston, W.Va., Capital H.S.), Nathan Kerns (Fr., Ironton, Ohio, Ironton H.S.), Phil DiLorenzo (RS-Sr., Weirton, W.Va., Brooke H.S.), and Aaron Boggs (RS-Fr., Madison, W.Va., Scott H.S.). Sophomore Carson Schambach (Glen Dale, W.Va., John Marshall H.S.) will play in the tournament as an individual.
