Men's Cross Country Heads to NCAA Regional Championship

PRINCESS ANNE, Md. - Eight Marshall University men's cross country runners will participate in the NCAA Regional Championships on Saturday in Princess Anne, Md., hosted by the University of Maryland Eastern Shore.
This is the final meet before the NCAA National Championships, which will be held in Terra Haute, Ind., on Nov. 23, hosted by Indiana State University.
For all Marshall runner's to qualify for NCAA's, they need to win the team title. An individual can qualify by being one of the top four runners in the meet to finish, excluding those runners who are on the winning team.
The Herd is coming off a fourth place finish at the Conference USA Cross Country Championships two weeks ago. Sophomore Matt Schiffbauer earned All-Conference USA Second Team honors with his ninth place finish in Houston.
The men's 8K race is set to fire off at 12 p.m. Results will be available shortly after the race by logging on to www.herdzone.com
