UC Spring Invitational Up Next For Women's Golf

CRYSTAL RIVER, Fla. - The Thundering Herd women's golf team will be back in action on Friday at the UC Spring Invitational hosted by the University of Cincinnati.

The tournament, which is being held at the Plantation Inn Golf Resort, will begin at 9 a.m. Friday with 36 holes before Saturday's final round of 18 holes.

Marshall is one of 18 schools scheduled to participate. Other universities include Baylor, Cincinnati, Ohio U., Rutgers, South Florida and UAB.

Last weekend, the Herd fought its way back to a tie for 13th place at the First Market Bank Intercollegiate.

Molly Ginger led the way for Marshall, shooting a 164 over the two rounds of the event. After shooting an 85 in Saturday's opening round, Ginger improved by six shots to shoot a 79 on Sunday. She was followed by Larie Lynch, who shot a 168.
