Men's Golf Prepares for C-USA Championship

Sorrento, Fla. - The Marshall University men's golf team traveled to Sorrento, Fla., Friday where it will compete in the Conference USA Championship on Sunday, Monday and Tuesday at the Red Tail Golf Club.

Red Tail is a Par 72, 7,152-yard course that will be the host site for one of six NCAA Regionals this May.

The Thundering Herd's travel squad of Bennett Boyer, Bosten Miller, Christian Brand, Nathan Kinker and Ryan Brookshire faces a challenging field. The host UCF Knights enter the championship with a national ranking of 19 in the latest Golfweek/Sagarin ratings. Also, C-USA members Tulsa, UAB, SMU and East Carolina are all ranked in the top 100.

The three-day championship features one round each day with the first groups teeing off of holes one and ten at 8:30 a.m. Sunday.
