Men's Golf Hosts 40th Annual Marshall Invitational

HUNTINGTON, W.Va. - Marshall University's men's golf team will host the 40th annual Marshall Invitational Golf Tournament Friday and Saturday at the Guyan Golf and Country Club in Huntington.

The tournament, which features two rounds on Friday and the final round on Saturday, begins with a shotgun start at 8:30 a.m. Friday. The final round is scheduled to start with fixed tee times beginning at 8 a.m.

Illinois captured the team title last season and returns to defend its title against a strong field. This year's field includes Ball State, Bowling Green, Cincinnati, Davidson, DePaul, Eastern Kentucky, Illinois, Marshall, Miami (Ohio), Northern Illinois, Ohio, Princeton, Richmond, William & Mary, Wright State and Xavier. The teams will be competing at Guyan's par 71, 6,484-yard course.
