The Herd to Run in Mel Brodt Invitational

BOWLING GREEN, Ohio - The Marshall University men's and women's cross country teams will run in the Mel Brodt Invitational on Saturday afternoon at the Forrest Creason Golf Course, hosted by the Falcons of Bowling Green.

The women's 5K race begins at 2 p.m. Other teams joining Marshall and the host Falcons in the race include: Ashland, Baldwin Wallace, Cleveland State, Dayton, Findlay, Heidelberg, Manchester College, Ohio Northern, Siena Heights, Western Michigan and Wilmington College.

The men's race will begin shortly after the conclusion of the women's race, roughly around 2:45 p.m. The men will run against all the same teams as the women with the exception of Toledo replacing Western Michigan.

Matt Schiffbauer and Kathleen Clark lead MU into the invitational. They were the top finishers in the Herd's first competition last weekend at Eastern Kentucky, finishing seventh and 15th place, respectively.
