Men's Soccer Hosts Ohio Valley in Home Opener

HUNTINGTON, W.Va. - The Marshall University men's soccer team plays its first home match at Sam Hood Field Tuesday night as they host the Fighting Scots of Ohio Valley University at 7 p.m.
The Herd (1-3-1) is coming off a weekend tournament in Greensboro, N.C., where they played UNC Greensboro to a 1-1 draw and lost to the Elon Phoenix 2-0.
Senior defender Matt Dickerson tallied his second goal of the season in the draw with UNCG. The two goals for the Warsaw, Ohio native are the first two of his career.
OVU (1-5) has allowed 20 goals on the season, including nine in one game to California University of Pa. The Herd leads the all-time series with the Fighting Scots 2-0 and has outscored them in those games 13-0.
Mac Reedo's Fun Food and Spirits is sponsoring Mug Night. Marshall University students who present a valid ID will receive a green mug which is good for one dollar off any beverage at Mac Reedo's.
