HUNGTINTON, W.Va. - Saturday night marks the beginning of a crucial four-game Conference USA stretch as the Marshall men's soccer team welcomes Florida International to Sam Hood Field with kickoff slated for 7 p.m.

The Thundering Herd (6-2-2, 1-1-0 C-USA) plays host to FIU (4-3-0, 0-0-0 C-USA) and Kentucky next Wednesday, before traveling to No.5 SMU and No.7 Tulsa for two additional C-USA matches beginning next weekend.

MU ended its two-game skid last Wednesday by dominating Shawnee State, 3-0. The Herd received goals from Mat Butler, Kyle Sniatecki and Jordan Hilgefort, while outshooting the Bears 35-5 for the contest.

FIU invades Huntington for its first conference match of the season. The Panthers have won three of their four games in double overtime. Forwards Michael Muehseler and Nicoals Rodriguez carry the offensive load as the two have combined to net eight of the nine FIU goals on the season.

Last year when the two sides met up in Miami, Fla., the Herd registered a 2-1 come-from-behind victory. Marshall leads the all-time series with the Panthers 6-3.

GameTracker for the match will be available by logging on to herdzone.com. Marshall University also encourages fans to "Think Pink" at Saturday's match as October is Breast Cancer Awarness Month. Cabell Huntington Hospital and St. Mary's Huntington Hospital will be in attendance and fans are asked to wear pink.
