HUNTINGTON, W.Va.--The Marshall University men's golf team travels to Renaissance Invitational Oct. 3-4 at the Renaissance Golf Club in Ft. Myers, Fla. The 54-hole event which is being hosted by Xavier, gets underway with a shotgun start Sunday at 7:30 a.m. Monday's play will feature 36 holes. The final 18 holes begin on Tuesday at 7:30 a.m.

In addition to the Herd, other teams scheduled to compete are Ball State, Bethune Cookman, Dayton, Eastern Kentucky, Florida Atlantic, Florida Gulf Coast, Georgetown, Miami (Ohio), Western Kentucky, Wisconsin, and Xavier.

Marshall's lineup will be comprised of Aaron Boggs (R-So., Madison, W.Va., Scott H.S.), Nathan Kerns (So., Ironton, Ohio, Ironton H.S.), Brian Anania (Fr., Hurricane, W.Va., Hurricane H.S.), Christian Brand (R-Sr., Charleston, W.Va., Capital H.S.), and Bosten Miller (Jr., Charleston, W.Va., Capital H.S.).

Boggs won his first career event as the Thundering Herd came in third at the Cardinal Intercollegiate Sept. 21. Boggs carded a one-under 71 for a 54-hole total of 210 (70-69-71) to earn a one shot victory over Kennesaw State's Jeff Karlsson (70-72-69-211).
