Marshall Moves Up One In The Rain At Memphis Intercollegiate

CORDOVA, Tenn--Playing in consent rain and gusty winds, the Marshall University Men's Golf Team moved up one spot at the Memphis Intercollegiate at the Colonial Country Club. The Thundering Herd posted a 298 over the final round for a 54-hole tally of 907 (307-302-298). Marshall was one of six teams in the field of 15 to break 300 during the final round. South Alabama (293-297-288-878) was the team winner.
Redshirt senior Christian Brand was the top performing Thundering Herd player. Brand's 74 during the final 18 brought his three-round total to 222 (72-76-74) and tied him for 13th with three other players. Jack Hiluta of South Alabama (69-72-68-209) earned the medalist honors. Nathan Kerns tied for 35th (79-72-76-227) while Bosten Miller (78-74-77) and Aaron Boggs (78-80-71) tied for 43rd (229). Carson Schambach tied for 70th (82-81-77-240).
