Erika Duncan Named to the Preseason All-Conference USA Team

IRVING, Texas- Marshall University's Erika Duncan (Easthaven, Scotland, UK) was named to the 2010 Preseason All-Conference women's soccer team, as announced by the Conference USA office on Tuesday afternoon.

The All-Conference team consists of 11 players; five forwards, two midfielders, three defenders and a goalkeeper. Memphis's Ashley Berra (Cordova, Tenn.) was named the Preseason Offensive Player of the Year, while UCF's Aline Reis (Campinas, Brazil) earned the title of the Preseason Defensive Player of the Year.

Duncan, the senior forward, was also announced to the Top 20 C-USA players Monday by TopDrawerSoccer.com.

Duncan enters her final season with the Herd in second place on MU's all-time career records list in goals (23), second in game winning goals (6), third in points (50) and fourth in shots (115). During her junior campaign, she netted nine goals for the second consecutive season and finished 95th in the nation in goals per game. Duncan earned second team All-Conference honors after completing the year tied for second in C-USA in goals and third in goals per game.
