HUNTINGTON, W.Va. - Marshall Women's Soccer (7-3-4, 3-1-2 SBC) remained unbeaten at home this season with a gritty 1-0 victory over ULM in the rain on Senior Day Sunday.
The Herd's leading scorer Wiktoria Mikrut broke her mini goal drought with a 4th minute finish. A cross from Brooklyn McComas and a highlight-worthy back heel touch from Luana Gusmao set up Mikrut for her sixth of the season.

Marshall had to battle deep defensively with a second yellow handed to Delfina Lombardi and the Herd in the 70th minute, leaving Coach Rafa Simoes and MU a player down for the first time this season.
"Not the prettiest win but it was resilient," said Coach Simoes. "We were a player down for 20-30 minutes but hung in there and got the result. Holly Tickle had her best game, she won everything. Maria was solid, Brooklyn. Our whole back four and holding midfielders and goalies ran the extra mile today. Really happy that Wiktoria finally got her goal in conference play to give our striker some confidence. Really felt we could have had more chances, but being a player down, we are happy to win at home."

Marshall was outshot by the Warhawks, 13-7 with Emma Durand making six saves. Durand has now pitched nine cleansheets in her career, tied for 4th in program history.
With the win, Marshall has 11 conference points this season, tied for 3rd with four regular season matches remaining. The Herd's next match is in a week on Sunday, October 18 at Louisiana.
