Herd Soccer Defeats WVU Tech; WV Wesleyan

CHARLESTON, W.Va. - Tom Jackson tallied two goals in the second match as the Marshall University men's soccer team defeated WVU Tech 3-1, and West Virginia Wesleyan 3-0 on Sunday afternoon at Coonskin Park in spring competition.



The Herd took on WVU Tech in the morning match as Carl Munday and Ross Seagram would find the back of the net. The other MU goal was helped out by WVU Tech as they scored an own goal.



The second contest saw the Thundering Herd blank Wesleyan by a mark of 3-0. Jackson, a 2010 Third-Team All-C-USA selction, scored twice, while Diego Ayala recorded the other tally.



Marshall is now 3-1 in spring competition and does not play again until after spring break as MU faces the University of Charleston and Radford University on April 3rd in Charleston.
