Men's Golf Ties for Eighth at FAU

Marshall University's men's golf team finished tied for eighth place out of 16 teams with a tournament total of 894 after shooting a 301 Sunday at the FAU Spring Break Classic.
Marshall senior Christian Brand navigated the 6,722-yard, par 72 course at Gleneagles Country Club very well Friday and carded a three-under-par 69. He followed that with back-to-back 74s on Saturday and Sunday to post a 217 and finish the event tied for 15th.
The Thundering Herd's Brian Anania shot an even par 72 on Sunday to finish the tournament at 223, while Bosten Miller shot a 77 to finish at 226. Nathan Kerns and Carson Schambach finished the tournament with total scores of 228 and 247, respectively.
Ohio State won the team title with an impressive 852. The Buckeyes' Brad Smith fired a 67 on Sunday to finish with medalist honors at 208. FAU finished second at 863 and Florida Gulf Coast was third at 867.
