Women's Golf Completes Day Two

CHARLESTON, S.C. - Marshall women's golf moved up three spots in day two of the Edwin Watts/Kiawah Island Classic and is now tied for 22nd.

The Thundering Herd is drawing even with Presbyterian College in the no. 22 spot with a combined score of 628 (+52). Each Herd golfer improved their score from opening day.

Allison Harper continues to lead the Herd with a seven over par mark after the first two days. The sophomore from Upper Arlington, Ohio shot five less strokes on day two and ended the day with a score of 73 (+1).

Fellow sophomore Rachel Thompson dropped three strokes from her day one score and finished day two with a 76 (+4). Thompson is plus-11 for the tournament.

Junior Caitlyn Morrone had the most improvement on the team on day two, shooting a 75 (+3) after finishing day one with a score of 87. She now sits at plus-18 for the tournament.

Karakot Simsiriwong and Maria Battaglia rounded up day two with a 79 and 87, respectively.
