Marshall Set for Battle in Bowling Green

BOWLING GREEN, Ohio- The Thundering Herd men's soccer team will look to improve to 2-0 on the season when it travels to Bowling Green, Ohio, for a 7 p.m. showdown with the Bowling Green State University Falcons on Saturday.

Marshall enters the match riding high after a 2-0 win over Wright State saw Tom Jackson score two goals and goalkeeper Daniel Withrow earn a shutout en route to Conference USA Defensive Player of the Week honors. Like Marshall, the Falcons are a perfect 1-0 on the season after blanking St. Bonaventure 3-0 this past week.

Bowling Green holds a 7-4 advantage over the Herd in the all-time series and defeated Marshall 2-0 the last time the two programs met back in 2009. The Falcons were 7-8-3 last season.
