FORT WAYNE, Ind.- The Marshall University men's soccer team will put its undefeated 1-0-1 record on the line when it travels to Fort Wayne, Ind., for a noon showdown with the 0-2 IPFW Mastodons on Labor Day.
The Thundering Herd will enter the contest with less than 48 hours rest after playing Bowling Green to a 0-0 draw in double-overtime on Saturday night. The Mastodons last played to a 3-0 loss at Western Michigan on Friday afternoon.
While the Herd is yet to allow a goal this season in two consecutive matches, IPFW has yet to score, losing by identical 3-0 scorelines in both of its previous games. Marshall has two goals on the year, both coming from senior forward Tom Jackson in the season opening win over Wright State.
Monday's matchup will be the first-ever regular season meeting between the two programs, and live stats may be followed during the match by clicking here.
