HUNTINGTON, W.Va. -- Marshall women's soccer will be on the road again Friday for a match against the Morehead State Eagles. Kick-off is scheduled for 7 p.m. at Jayne Stadium in Morehead, Ky.

Marshall is 5-1-1 in the all-time series with Morehead State but 0-1-1 in the last two meetings.

In the most recent clash (2011), Marshall and MSU battled to a 2-2 draw at Sam Hood Field. Current Thundering Herd senior Robin Waskowski notched the second goal for Marshall in that match and helped extend MU's lead to 2-0, but a resilient Morehead State squad clawed back with two second half goals to bring the match to a tie.

On Friday, Marshall (2-3) will look for its first road victory of the season while the Eagles (0-4-1) will continue their search for their first victory since 2011.

Marshall and MSU share two common opponents - Ohio and Saint Francis - through the first quarter of their seasons. The Herd is 1-1 against such opponents, falling to Ohio 2-0 but defeating Saint Francis 2-1. The Eagles are 0-1-1 versus Ohio and SFU in 2012, dropping a 1-0 decision to Ohio before claiming a 2-2 draw against SFU.

MSU defender Macy Cobb leads the Eagles in goal scoring with two goals this season. The sophomore owns a goal in the first game of the season - a 3-1 loss at Akron - as well as the last - the 2-2 draw against Saint Francis.

Marshall continues to display its versatility as seven different members of the Thundering Herd have scored goals this season. Senior forward Chelsey Maiden owns a pair of goals alongside three assists and is MU's overall points leader with seven.
