HUNTINGTON, W.Va. - After winning the event last year, junior Logan Lagodich (Canton, Ohio) will look to defend his title as Marshall men's golf returns to fall action on Sunday at the ODU/Outerbanks Invitational in Powells Point, N.C. The 54-hole tournament will be played over three days with three 18-hole rounds. Tee times are set off holes 1 and 10 at 8:30 a.m. on Sunday and Monday, and at 8 a.m. on Tuesday.
Results will be available through Golfstat after each round, and a recap of each day will be posted to HerdZone.com.
HAVE YOU HERD?
Last time out, Marshall finished seventh at the Bearcat Invitational at Traditions Golf Club (Oct. 7). Due to inclement weather conditions, the tournament was shortened from 54 holes to 36.
Redshirt sophomore Davey Jude (Kermit, W.Va.) shot a team-best 5-over-par 149 to lead the Herd after a 1-over 73 showing in the final round. As a team, Marshall carded a 22-over 598 for seventh place.
TAKE NOTE
- Last year, Logan Lagodich (Canton, Ohio) defeated Jamison Randall of Old Dominion and Rocky Khara of VCU in a one-hole playoff to win the 2013 ODU/Outerbanks Invitational (Oct. 22, 2013). It was the first individual victory of his Marshall career. He finished with a 6-under 207 and shot a career-low round of 67 on the second day.

The tournament includes a 16-team field of Campbell, Delaware, Drake, Drexel, George Mason, Hartford, James Madison, Longwood, Maryland, Maryland-Eastern Shore, Marshall, Nebraska-Omaha, Old Dominion, Saint Francis (Pa.), Savannah State, & South Dakota..
