Herd to Finish Fall Season at Hummingbird Intercollegiate

HUNTINGTON, W.Va. - Marshall men's golf will finish its fall schedule by competing at Western Carolina's Hummingbird Intercollegiate at Country Club of Sapphire Valley in Cashiers, N.C., on Friday and Sunday.
Due to unfavorable weather conditions predicted for Saturday, the original format of Saturday/Sunday play has been altered to Friday/Sunday. Teams will play 18 holes on Friday with a 12:45 p.m. shotgun start, followed by 18 holes on Sunday with tee times beginning at 9:30 a.m.

Clark Robinson (South Windsor, Conn.) carded his best round of the ODU/Outerbanks Intercollegiate in the final 18 holes of the event on Oct. 21 at Kilmarlic Golf Course.
The sophomore posted an even 71 in the final round for a 54-hole total of 5-over 218, tying for 17th. He recorded the second-best individual average on par-3 and par-5 holes at 2.93 and 4.58, respectively, and shot the third-most birdies (13). As a team, the Thundering Herd combined for 33-over 885 to place ninth.
SCOUTING THE FIELD
The tournament includes a 12-team field of Brevard, Bucknell, Cardinal Stritch, Clemson, Colgate, Furman, Guilford, Marshall, Samford, Western Carolina, Wingate and Wofford. Four individuals from Duke will complete the field of 75 individuals.
