HUNTINGTON, W.Va. - Marshall women's soccer has earned the College Team Academic Award for the 2013-14 academic year, as announced Monday by the National Soccer Coaches Association of America (NSCAA).



A total of 861 collegiate soccer teams (279 men, 582 women) posted team grade point averages of 3.0 or higher to earn the award. Under coach Kevin Long, Marshall posted a 3.37, and the Herd was one of nine Conference USA teams to receive the award.



Note: This award runs one school year behind. This season's (2014-15) awards will be announced next November.
