Marshall softball has added new players for the 2016 season.

HUNTINGTON, W.Va.- Marshall's softball team will play four of its eight fall exhibition games on the road this weekend in Ohio. The team will play in Oxford, OH Saturday with games at 1:00 p.m. against Miami (OH) and against Cedarville at 3:00 p.m. The Herd will finish its road swing on Sunday with a doubleheader against Ohio at 1:00 p.m. and 3:00 p.m. Recaps will be available following the games. HAVE YOU HERD?
Last season, the Herd won six straight games on the way to its third straight Conference USA Championship game. The Herd went on to drop the final to Tulsa 8-0 and finished 28-31 in 2014.

Head Coach Shonda Stanton on the fall season:
"Fall ball is all about teaching & learning so it is always exciting to step outside of that process in a competition setting to gauge our progress."
