Day 2 Results
AUGUSTA, Ga. - Senior Korakot Simsiriwong (Narathiwat, Thailand) carded an even 71 in the second round of play to lead Marshall women's golf at the 3M Jaguar Intercollegiate at Forest Hills Golf Club on Saturday.
Simsiriwong now totals 7-over-par 149 at 16th through 36 holes, and classmate Sarah Helly (Enniscrone, Ireland) is next in line at 44th (13-over 154).
As a team, the Thundering Herd improved its score by 22 strokes, down from 323 to 301 for a two-day total of 624 for 11th place.
ON THE LEADERBOARD
Individual leader Melanie Krolboll Hansen (5-under 137) paces team leader No. 43 Coastal Carolina (11-over 579) through 36 holes. No. 21 Furman is second at 14-over 582.

"Today was a better day. Yesterday, not much was solid and the weather didn't help us. Today the greens were more receptive and you can tell in the scores. Tomorrow we will go out and continue to battle and see if we can move up a few more spots."

"Gone [Simsiriwong] played great today and could have gone really low but I'm still happy with how she played. Sarah [Helly] continued to fight today and did a good job. Leigha [Holt] and Ning [Huang] both came back with solid rounds today."
