GREENVILLE, S.C. -- For the second consecutive day, sophomore Clark Robinson (South Windsor, Conn.) carded the top score for Marshall men's golf at the Furman Intercollegiate with a 1-over-par 73 on Saturday.

Robinson now totals 1-under 143 through 36 holes. He sits in a tie with eight other golfers for seventh place in the individual field with one round left to play. After sinking an eagle on No. 2 yesterday, freshman Alex Weiss (Pickerington, Ohio) posted another eagle when he holed out on No. 3. He has carded the most eagles of the event with two.

Marshall dropped five spots in the team standings to 16th with a 28-over 304 total going into the final round.

ON THE LEADERBOARD
No. 36 J.T. Posten of Western Carolina moved up two spots into first place after posting a 5-under 67 to total 8-under 136 through two rounds. Georgia State surged into the top spot on the team leaderboard with an 8-under 280 day, totaling 6-under 570 through 36 holes.

GABBING WITH GROBE
Quotes by coach Matt Grobe:

On a tough day:
"It was a really frustrating day. As a team, our score was horrible. We got the best of the good weather with the afternoon tee times and didn't take advantage. We actually lost strokes playing in the easiest wave with the best weather conditions. We can't play like this and be successful. I was very happy with Clark's [Robinson] play the last two days. He has played really good golf. One more round tomorrow, so hopefully we can pull it together and play a great final round."
