Men's Golf to Tee Off at C-USA Championship

HUNTINGTON, W.Va. -- Marshall men's golf will compete as one of 13 teams at the 2015 Conference USA Men's Golf Championship at Texarkana Country Club in Texarkana, Ark., beginning Monday. The event is slated to become the first NCAA Division I men's golf league championship to include match play, reflecting the NCAA format.
The member schools will play 54 holes of stroke play (April 26-28), with the top four teams advancing to a four-team seeded match play playoff to be conducted Wednesday, April 29.
Live scoring will be available at GolfStat.com and results will be posted to HerdZone.com.
SCOUTING THE FIELD
Participating teams (3): No. 30 UAB, Charlotte, Florida Atlantic, Louisiana Tech, Marshall, Middle Tennessee, North Texas, Old Dominion, Rice, Southern Miss, UTEP, UTSA, Western Kentucky.
With seeding based on the current Golfstat team rankings, No. 30 UAB is the top-seeded team for the tournament. The Blazers have claimed two team titles this year, winning their final tournaments of the season, The Goodwin and The Old Waverly Collegiate Championship. UAB placed second in the 2014 C-USA Championship, falling by one stroke.
