2015 Schedule
HUNTINGTON, W.Va. -- The 2015 Marshall volleyball schedule was officially released Thursday, as announced by coach Mitch Jacobs and administration.
The Herd begins its campaign with the Morehead State Invite, facing Indiana State, Morehead, and Canisius August 28-29. Marshall will have its first home game on September 1, welcoming Eastern Kentucky to the Cam Henderson Center for a 6 p.m. showdown.
The Herd is then on the road for nine consecutive matches, playing in the Fairfield Invitational in Fairfield, Conn., and then traveling south for the High Point Tournament, before dual matches with West Virginia (in Morgantown), East Tennessee State (in Morehead, Ky.) and Samford (Morehead, Ky.) to close out nonconference play.
Marshall will face 2014 league champions Western Kentucky to begin C-USA action, hosting the Hilltoppers for a 6 p.m. contest in Huntington. The Herd will only face league foes Louisiana Tech, UTEP, UTSA, FIU, Florida Atlantic, Rice, Southern Miss, and North Texas once, and will play Charlotte, UAB, Middle Tennessee, and WKU twice.
The Herd finishes its regular season in Murfreesboro, Tenn., taking on Middle Tennessee.
Conference USA has announced the 2015 Championship will be hosted in San Antonio, Texas from Nov. 20-22.
