Herd Softball Announces Fall Clinic Dates

HUNTINGTON, W.Va. ââ'¬" Marshall softball has announced the dates for the 2015 Herd clinics that will run through five weeks (Sept. 13-Oct. 11). All sessions will take place at Dot Hicks Field or the new Chris Cline Indoor Facility in case of bad weather.
Camp registration is limited to 25 hitters and 25 pitchers each session for grades 7-12 to ensure each participant will receive quality instruction and attention to maximize their development. The cost is $35 per session, $55 for both hitting and pitching, $155 for all five dates of hitting or pitching and $250 for both sessions all five weeks.
Hitters will be instructed on the essential components of the swing with various drills to work on location, balance, tracking, bat speed, power and how to make corrections to your swing. Each attendee will also learn routines to improve the swing.
Pitchers will learn about developing the proper mechanics for successful pitching, how to increase speed and gain command of pitches with consistency in location. Each pitcher will be instructed in everyday drills they can use to work on performance as well as various workouts.
The camp sessions are all scheduled on Sunday evenings: Sept. 13, 20, and 27 and Oct. 4 and 11.
