CALEB'S CORNER

Marshall assistant Caleb Bown on the meet:

"Both teams did well today in the extreme heat. The women led by Freshmen Adriana Cook and Junior Andrea Porter had a 1-5 split of 1:13, which for a first race is pretty awesome. They ran against a really strong opponent in Louisville and I believe they are going I progress well throughout the season."

"The Men, led by freshmen Nick Schmidt and Daniel Green, fought hard to get third place overall. I believe the freshmen performed really well for their first meet and they weren't scared to run up with the three All-Americans that were in the race. They went for it and I believe they have the potential to be All-Conference by the end of the season. Drake Securro also had a heck of a race. Overall, the men ran well and I believe they will do even better next meet, because we had to hold a few runners out that weren't 100 percent healthy."
NEXT UP

The Herd will next be in action at Vanderbilt's Commodore Classic on Sept. 19 in Nashville, Tenn.
