Marshall Cards Best C-USA Championship Finish Since 2013

TEXARKANA, Ark. - Three Marshall golfers finished in the top 20 as the Thundering Herd carded its best Conference USA Championship placement since 2013 at Texarkana Country Club, Tuesday.
Junior Clark Robinson (South Windsor, Conn.) and senior Logan Lagodich (Canton, Ohio) tied for 15th place at 6-over-par 222. Lagodich completed his final collegiate scorecard with a birdie. Davey Jude (Kermit, W.Va.) had the Herd's best score for the second consecutive round, shooting 1-over 73 to finish in a tie for 18th at 7-over 223.
Marshall finished in a tie with Charlotte for eighth place at 894, marking its best score and placement since a school-record 878 for fifth in 2013.
ON THE LEADERBOARD
No. 38 UAB, Louisiana Tech, North Texas and UTSA finished stroke play in the top four spots, respectively, and will finish the tournament with a seeded match play round to be played Tuesday evening. The Blazers' Taylor Eyster won the individual medal (7-under 209) by taking a one-hole playoff from Louisiana Tech's Victor Lange.

"We really got off to a great start today. We had moved up to sixth but couldn't quite hang on. We played some great golf in stretches. This was a really fun team to coach this year. We will miss Logan [Lagodich] and Davey [Jude] next year. It was great to see them both finish strong. Logan made birdie to finish his college career, so that was pretty neat."
