2017 Spring Schedule
HUNTINGTON, W.Va. - The Marshall men's soccer team announced its five-match spring schedule Tuesday. The Herd will play two at Veteran's Memorial Soccer Complex and three more on the road.
"I'm really looking forward to our spring fixtures," head coach Chris Grassie said. "We have some very good competition on the schedule which, will provide me and my staff the perfect opportunity to evaluate our current players as well as to begin to incorporate our new philosophy and style of play.
"We only have two matches at home, so we'll make sure to get the community out to support the new Marshall Men's Soccer."
Marshall will begin the spring with a match against coach Grassie's former team, the University of Charleston in Huntington April 1 at 7 p.m. The second home match will feature the 2016 NAIA National Championship runners-up Rio Grande. The Red Storm will be at the Vet April 19 at 7 p.m.
The Herd will hit the road for its second and third contests as Marshall visits Cincinnati (April 8) and then up to Morgantown, W.Va., to take on WVU (April 15). Marshall's final spring match will be at Dayton (April 22).
