HUNTINGTON, W.Va. – Marshall men's basketball prepares for the final game of a three-game homestand with a contest against North Carolina A&T at the Cam Henderson Center Monday night.
HAVE YOU HERD
Marshall defeated Mount St. Mary's 98-75 on Nov. 17. The win gave the Herd their second 3-0 start in the last three seasons.
Senior guard Jon Elmore collected his third-straight game of 20 or more points to start the season and it was his 74th consecutive game in double-figure scoring.
Elmore currently sits 38 points away from becoming the third player in program history with 2,000 or more points in their career and 21 points away from reaching third all-time in program history in points.
Sophomore guard Jarrod West collected his first game of 10 or more points this season with a 14-point effort in the win over Mount St. Mary's.
The Herd received two points in the Week Two AP Top 25 Poll on Monday, marking the most points in the poll since Week 11 of 2009-10 season.
SCOUTING THE AGGIES
The Aggies have lost four straight contests to start the season with their last loss coming at Hofstra on Nov. 12, 92-72.
North Carolina A&T has been outscored by a margin of 15.7 and has been outrebounded by an average of 11.2 boards per contest. The Aggies are shooting 44.7 percent from the field this season, but their opponents are 50 percent from the field.
WHO TO KNOW
Terry Harris is North Carolina A&T's leading scorer with 10.8 points per game and leading rebounder with 3.0 boards per contest. The senior forward/guard is 44.8 percent from the floor in the Aggies first four games with a 42.9 shooting percentage from beyond the arc.
