PITTSBURGH, Pa. – Marshall men's basketball fell to Duquesne, 93-82, in Pittsburgh, Pa., Wednesday night.

Marshall moves to 5-3 with the loss as Duquesne moves to 5-2 on the season.

"We haven't played as a "we", we're playing as a me," fifth-year head coach Dan D'Antoni said. "The score doesn't matter until we learn how to play as a "we"."

The Dukes answered with a 9-0 run and eventually held its largest lead of 18 with 5:32 left in the opening half. However, Marshall closed out the half on a 14-6 run to trail 48-38 at the break after Elmore made three free-throws

The Herd came out gunning in the second-half as it went on a 10-5 run capped with a three-pointer by sophomore forward Mikel Beyers to trail by five just over four minutes into the half.

Duquesne built up its lead to double-digits again, but Marshall wasn't going down without a fight as it cut the deficit to seven, 85-78, with four minutes to go, but the Herd couldn't cut it closer as the Dukes took the game.
