Marshall Volleyball Releases 2018 Schedule

HUNTINGTON, W.Va. - Marshall Volleyball announced its 2018 schedule on Thursday.
The Thundering Herd will play in tournaments at Dayton University, Loyola University Chicago, Alabama and Bowling Green before diving into Conference USA play versus Charlotte on September 21.
Marshall will face the host Dayton Flyers on August 24, followed by matches with Ball State and South Alabama the following day.
Marshall will welcome Morehead State on August 28 for its 6 p.m. home opener in the Cam Henderson Center.
The Thundering Herd will also face Georgia State and Furman at Loyola University Chicago's tournament (August 31-September 1).
After a home match with Ohio on September 5, Marshall will hit the road for the Alabama tournament. Marshall will square off with Northern Illinois and Georgia Tech, in addition to the host Crimson Tide on September 7 and 8.
At the Bowling Green tournament, the Thundering Herd and the host Falcons will meet on September 13, followed by matches with Nicholls State (September 14) and IUPUI (September 15).
After the aforementioned home opener with the 49ers, the Thundering Herd will host league tilts with WKU (October 5), UTEP (October 7), Middle Tennessee (October 14), UTSA (October 21), FAU (November 2) and FIU (November 4).
Its conference road matches will be: FIU (September 23), UAB (September 28), Louisiana Tech (September 30), Rice (October 12), Southern Miss (October 26), North Texas (October 28) and Charlotte (November 10).
The annual battle for the "Golden Ball", Marshall's in-state matchup with West Virginia, will be in Morgantown on November 7.
