Men’s Golf Hits the Road at the EKU Intercollegiate

Two-day, three-round event begins Saturday at 8:30 a.m.

RICHMOND, Ky. – The Marshall men's golf team hits the road Sept. 15-16 at the EKU Intercollegiate. The 54-hole, two-day event begins Saturday, Sept. 15, with a shotgun start at 8:30 a.m.
Live scoring will be available through GolfStat.
"Really excited to get on the road with the guys and see them compete on a really good golf course," Herd head coach Matt Grobe said. "Should be a great weekend for golf."
Playing for the Herd this weekend will be freshman Kyle Mitchell, redshirt senior Thomas Frazier, redshirt sophomore Matt Hoffman, sophomore Ben Roeder, freshman Isaac Prine and redshirt sophomore Cameron Root will play as an individual.
Fifteen teams will be competing at the EKU Intercollegiate. Along with Marshall and EKU, the teams are Cleveland State, SIU Edwardsville, Northern Kentucky, UT-Martin, DePaul, Morehead State, Murray State, Ohio, Evansville, Eastern Michigan, California Baptist, Eastern Illinois and Longwood.
The event will be played at The University Club at Arlington. It is a par-70 course and 6,623 yards. The final round on Sunday will get rolling with a 9 a.m. shotgun start.
Marshall finished the Joe Feaganes Marshall Invitational in sixth place and Prine was the top finisher for the Herd in a tie for 14th with a 2-under 140.
