Men’s Golf Set to Begin River Run Collegiate

DAVIDSON, N.C. – The Marshall men's golf team is back on the course Monday and Tuesday at the River Run Collegiate, hosted by Davidson at the River Run Country Club.
Live scoring is available through Golfstat.com.
"River Run is in great shape and is a very challenging course," Herd head coach Matt Grobe said. "We need to pick good targets this week and commit. I am really looking forward to watching the guys compete this week."
The Thundering Herd is coming off a 12th place finish at the EKU Colonel Classic on Sept. 16.
Participating in the event for Marshall will be Kyle Mitchell, Thomas Frazier, Matt Hoffman, Will Straub and Ben Roeder. Cole Moore will be playing as an individual.
Thirteen teams are competing in the tournament. Along with Marshall and Davidson the other schools are Charlotte, Elon, Francis Marion, Furman, Gardner-Webb, James Madison, Radford, Richmond, Temple, William & Mary and Wofford.
The River Run Country Club is a par 72, 7,317-yard layout. The teams will play 36 holes on Monday and tee off with a shotgun start at 9 a.m. The tournament will finish with 18 holes on Tuesday and another shotgun start at 8 a.m.
