Men’s Golf Tied for Fourth After Day One at the Dayton Flyer Invitational

Third round tees off Tuesday at 9 a.m.
KETTERING, Ohio – The Marshall men's golf team is tied for fourth place after the first two rounds at the Dayton Flyer Invitational on Monday.
"Really good day today for the guys," Herd head coach Matt Grobe said. "I was really pleased with the way all the guys battled. The course was really tough today. Greens were fast and the wind was a little tricky. We need to come out tomorrow with the same intensity."
Freshman Tyler Jones is tied for 11th on the leaderboard. Redshirt senior Ben Roeder improved by three strokes in the second round, finishing with a 3-over 74. Sophomore Kyle Mitchell also saw an improvement in the second round scoring four strokes better.
Wright State has an 11-stroke lead over Oakland. Bryce Haney of Wright State has the lead over Jules Blakely of Cleveland State by one shot. Haney is 1-under at 141.
