Series History: 14th all-time meeting – Wright State leads 8-5.
Last Meeting: October 23, 2018 in Huntington – No. 17 Wright State won 3-1.
Marshall is coming off a west coast trip that garnered two more wins at Loyola Marymount (4-1) and at San Diego State (5-1). The Herd earned its way into the national conversation with a No. 21 ranking on Tuesday, Oct. 15. The new NCAA/United Soccer Coaches poll will be released Tuesday afternoon. Marshall was ranked for the first time since October of 2001 and with two more wins, looks to be in great position to try and move up in the rankings.
Following the two wins, the Herd swept the Conference USA weekly awards for the first time since Marshall moved into C-USA back in 2005. Redshirt freshman Milo Yosef was named Offensive Player of the Week and the College Soccer News National Player of the Week. Yosef scored four goals and assisted on another in the two wins. Redshirt senior keeper Paulo Pita was named C-USA Defensive Player of the Week. Pita tallied five total saves and reached his 10th win of the season.
A Herd player has been honored by C-USA with a weekly award for three-straight weeks as senior defender Illal Osmanu was Defensive Player of the Week on Oct. 7 and 14.
Yosef leads the Herd with 10 goals this season and is the first Marshall player with at least 10 goals in a season since Tom Jackson in 2011. The Aachen, Germany native also leads Conference USA in scoring and is tied for ninth in the NCAA in total goals. Junior Pedro Dolabella is second on the team with five goals while junior Jamil Roberts and sophomore Jan-Erik Leinhos are tied for third with four goals each. Roberts leads the team with nine assists, which leads the conference and is tied for second in the NCAA. His nine helpers are the most by a Herd player in a season since 1993 when Ryan LaPointe had nine and Shawn Sizemore had 10.
Pita has been a rock for the Herd in net this season with just 10 goals allowed in 13 matches. His 0.74 goals against average is second in the league and 19th in the NCAA. Pita also carries a .796 save percentage that is second in conference and 28th in the country. The redshirt senior keeper has played all 1,210 minutes for Marshall in his final collegiate season.

The Raiders were on the attack against Detroit Mercy with 13 shots on goal.
Deri Corfe and Stefan Rokvic are tied for the team lead in goals with six each. Corfe also leads with five assists and 17 points. Ids Hannema is second with five goals and scored his fifth as the game-winner against Detroit Mercy. The Raiders have scored 26 goals this season with just six players making up that total.
