Men’s Golf Back on the Course at Mountaineer Intercollegiate

Event at Pete Dye Golf Club begins Monday at 8:30 a.m.
BRIDGEPORT, W.Va. – The Marshall men's golf team is back in action at the Health Plan Mountaineer Intercollegiate, played at the Pete Dye Golf Club. The tournament begins Monday morning at 8:30 a.m.
The teams are scheduled to play two rounds on Monday beginning with the 8:30 a.m. shotgun start, and one final round on Tuesday with tee times beginning at 8 a.m.
"It is a really tough course this week and the conditions look like they could be challenging," Herd head coach Matt Grobe said. "The practice round went well and I looking forward to watching them compete."
Marshall is one of 15 teams competing at the Mountaineer Intercollegiate. The rest of the field consists of host WVU, Washington State, UConn, Southern Miss, Florida Atlantic, Rice, Davidson, Akron, James Madison, Eastern Michigan, George Washington, Youngstown State, Towson and Xavier.
Playing for the Herd will be redshirt senior Ben Roeder, sophomore Kyle Mitchell, freshman Tyler Jones, redshirt junior Cameron Root and junior Brad Plaziak. The Herd is coming off a 15th place finish at the River Run Collegiate, Sept. 23-24.
