Men’s Golf Signs Wyss for 2020-21

2019 Ohio Junior Champion
HUNTINGTON, W.Va. – Marshall men's golf head coach Matt Grobe announced the signing of Andrew Wyss on Friday. The 2019 Ohio Junior Champion will be a freshman with the Herd in the 2020-21 season.
"We are so excited to have Andrew join our team," coach Grobe said. "He has had a fantastic junior golf career and we look forward to having him be a part of our future. Andrew is also a wonderful student and a great kid. He will be a great addition to the Marshall Golf family!"
"I'm excited to have been given this opportunity to continue my academic and golfing career at Marshall," Wyss said. "Coach Grobe and my future teammates have been so welcoming. I'm really looking forward to the next four years. Go Herd!"
The Massillon, Ohio native comes to Marshall with an impressive resume. Wyss over the summer won the 2019 Ohio Junior Championship with a 1-under 141. He is a two-time Stark County Champion and two-time Stark County Player of the Year. Wyss has been honored twice as the Northern Ohio junior PGA Player of the Year and is an 18-time medalist on the Northern Ohio PGA Junior Tour. He shot a career-low 65 at Firestone Country Club during the 2019 Northern Ohio PGA Pro/3-Junior Am.
So far in his prep career at Jackson High School in Massillon, Ohio, Wyss has garnered honors as four-time all-federal league, four-time all-district, four-time first team Northern Ohio Section and the All-Ohio Academic Award.
