Thundering Herd schedule features seven home games this season

HUNTINGTON, W.Va. – The Marshall Ticket Office has announced that 2019 Marshall Football season tickets can now be renewed online on HerdZone.com. The football season ticket will feature all seven home games played at Joan C. Edwards Stadium.
"We are excited to get things going for the upcoming football season," said Aaron Goebbel, Marshall's Associate Athletic Director for External Affairs. "We ended the season on a positive note with a big win in the Gasparilla Bowl and we return many of those starters from that bowl winning team. We have a ton of momentum heading into the 2019 season."
The 2019 home schedule will feature home games against regional rival Ohio Bobcats, as well as 2018 AP Top 25 Cincinnati Bearcats. Additionally, former SoCon rival VMI Keydets will open the season in Huntington to open the non-conference slate. C-USA East members ODU Monarchs, WKU Hilltoppers and FIU Panthers will once again make their way to Edwards Stadium, while C-USA West member Louisiana Tech Bulldogs will make their first trip since the 2014 C-USA Championship Game – a game Marshall won 26-23.
Important season ticket renewal details:
· While the 2019 season will feature seven homes (like the 2016 season), ticket holders will find that prices are lower than they were three years ago.
· Every season ticket holder will receive two (2) complimentary tickets to the 2019 Green and White Scrimmage, scheduled for April 27 at 2 p.m. Season ticket holders will receive these tickets in their hard copy renewal sent out in March. If the ticket holder renews online prior to the hard copy being sent out, these tickets will be sent out separately in March. Additional tickets are $5 each. Parking will be $20 per spot.
· All season ticket holders will receive a discount on their order by renewing their tickets online.
· Renewing season tickets will enter the ticket holder into a 2019 renewal raffle. More details on giveaways and prizes will be released in the coming days.
· There are two different zero-interest payment plan options for all ticket holders who do not want to do a full payment when they renew their tickets. There is 'Half-Now, Half-June 1' options that allows patrons to pay half of their order balance today and the other half on June 1. There is also 'Monthly' option that allows patrons to pay in equal installments on the first of every month between now and September 1.
· The East Chairbacks area will once again come with a complimentary chairback included with every ticket purchased – a change that was made last season.
· All reserved lots in direct proximity to Edwards Stadium were sold out last season. The continuation of the Maple Lot behind CVS and the new Dunkin' Donuts on 5th Avenue is available for purchase. These spots are reserved spaces.
In addition to season ticket renewals being available, new buyers for the 2019 season are also welcome to purchase season tickets. Tickets will not be allocated until after the deadline, however all payment plan options will be available for patrons wishing to break up their payments.
The season ticket renewal deadline is this Friday, April 12. Ticket holders who have not renewed their season tickets by this time will have their season ticket orders cancelled. Starting Monday, April 15, ticket office staff members will be calling all season ticket holders who requested a change or addition to their season ticket orders. Once all season ticket holders who requested changes have been assisted, all first-time buyers who have already paid for their 2019 season tickets will be given the option to select their new season tickets.
