Men's Golf Completes Day One at the Georgia Southern Individual Collegiate
Golfers to play 36 holes on Sunday and 18 on Monday
STATESBORO, Ga. – The Marshall men's golf team is out on the course for the first time in the spring semester at the Georgia Southern Individual. The first two rounds were completed Sunday at the Georgia Southern University Golf Course.
Redshirt sophomore Cameron Root is tied for fifth at 2-under par after 36 holes.
"Cameron Root played great today," head coach Matt Grobe said. "It was a lot of fun to watch. This is a great tournament for all of our guys to get some competitive rounds before we start spring tournaments. I am looking forward to watching the guys tomorrow."
Steven DiLisio of Duke leads the field of 75 golfers with an 11-under 133.
The final round will get started Monday morning.
