Three-day, three-round event tees off on Sunday at 10 a.m.
SEVIERVILLE, Tenn. – The Marshall women's golf team is back in action March 17-19 at the Bobby Nichols Intercollegiate, hosted by Tennessee Tech. The three-day, three-round event gets started Sunday morning with a shotgun start at 10 a.m.
"I'm excited to see these ladies tee it up once again," Herd head coach Brooke Burkhammer said. "They are all hitting the ball really well and we just need to score the next three days. I believe in them so much and know each one of them has the potential to play well."
Competing for the Herd will be senior Ylva Forslund, junior Shelby Brauckmuller, sophomores Stormy Randazzo and Kerri Parks and freshman Jackie Schmidt.
Marshall is one of 13 teams playing in the Bobby Nichols Intercollegiate. The other teams competing are Belmont, Butler, Carson-Newman, Eastern Kentucky, Evansville, Jacksonville State, Lee University, Northern Kentucky, Samford, Tennessee State and University of Missouri-St. Louis.
The Herd took home second place in the 2018 Bobby Nichols Intercollegiate as Parks also finished as the runner-up. Forslund and Brauckmuller ended the event in the top 15.
Marshall finished tied for sixth place out of 15 teams in its last trip out on the course at the River Landing Classic. The event was canceled with just the first round being completed as snow moved through the area.
There will not be any live scoring for the event, stay tuned to www.herdzone.com for results from each round.
