WALLACE, N.C. – The Marshall women's golf team is in sixth place after the first round, and the second round was suspended due to darkness at the River Landing Classic.
Â
Second round play with finish Tuesday morning and then the teams will get started with the third round.
Â
Marshall finished the first round in a four-way tie for sixth with No. 40 Penn State, Charlotte and UNC-Wilmington. Middle Tennessee leads the field with a team score of 2-over, 290.
Â
Senior Ylva Forslund and sophomore Kerri Parks ended the first round with a 1-over 73, and are tied for eighth overall.
Â
Hee Ying Loy of East Tennessee State is the individual leader after scoring a 4-under 68.
