Final Results
TEXARKANA, Texas – The Marshall men's golf team completed the 2018-19 season Tuesday in the third and final round of the Conference USA Championships, at the Texarkana Country Club.
The Thundering Herd finished in 13th place.
"Really good to see Cameron (Root) and Will (Straub) finish off a solid performance today," Herd head coach Matt Grobe said. "They both played really good golf. Thomas (Frazier) has had a really positive impact on our team the last couple of years and we were sad to see his collegiate career end.
"I am looking forward to watching the guys improve over the summer and I am looking forward to Tyler (Jones) coming in next fall and joining the team. I am excited for our first event of the fall, the Joe Feaganes Marshall Invitational."
Redshirt sophomore Will Straub recorded a 1-over 73 on Tuesday and moved up nine spots on the leaderboard. Redshirt sophomore Cameron Root shot a 4-over 76 in the final round.
UTSA, Middle Tennessee, Charlotte and UAB all move on to match play that will begin tomorrow. UTSA will be matched up with UAB, while Middle Tennessee and Charlotte will be the other set.
