Volleyball Announces 2019 Slate

HUNTINGTON, W.Va. – First-year Marshall volleyball head coach Ari Aganus released the team's 2019 schedule on Monday. This fall's slate includes seven home matches at the Henderson Center.

The Thundering Herd will be on the road for the first four weeks of the season as it opens the campaign on the road at the Indiana Invitational (Aug. 30-31) facing UT Martin, Indiana and Santa Clara.

Marshall then heads to Washington, D.C., for the Georgetown Invitational from Sept. 6-7 with matches against Georgetown, Stony Brook and Northern Kentucky. MU then travels to St. Louis for Billiken Invitational. The Herd is scheduled with matchups against Troy, Saint Louis and UT Martin on Sept. 13-14, before going to Eastern Kentucky on Sept. 17.

The Herd then closes out the non-conference portion of its schedule at the Morehead Invitational with contest against Morehead State on Sept. 19 and Coppin State on Sept. 20.

Marshall's first home match of the season will take place on Sept. 27 against the Southern Miss Golden Eagles as it begins Conference USA action. The Herd will also host Florida Atlantic (Sept. 29), Rice (Oct. 18), North Texas (Oct. 20), Louisiana Tech (Nov. 1), Charlotte (Nov. 3) and will close out the regular season on Nov. 14 against UAB at the Henderson Center.

For the road portion of C-USA play, Marshall will travel to Charlotte (Oct. 4), Western Kentucky (Oct. 6), Middle Tennessee (Oct. 11), UTEP (Oct. 25), UTSA (Oct. 27), Florida International (Nov. 8) and Florida Atlantic (Nov. 10)
