The Herd dropped just two matches between the two duals
DAYTON, Ohio – Marshall women's tennis started its dual season with a pair of victories on Saturday on the road over the Dayton Flyers, 7-0, and the Wright State Raiders, 5-2, in Dayton.
"Today was a nice start to the weekend," Marshall head coach John Mercer said after the wins. "I thought everyone played better as the day went along. I look forward to us competing tomorrow against Toledo."
Anna Smith, Jutte Van Hansewyck and Madison Riley did not drop a set as each won both of their doubles and singles matches on the day. Madi Ballow went undefeated in singles 2-0 and Daniela Dankanyach went 2-0 in doubles with her partner smith.
