HUNTINGTON, W.Va. – The Marshall University men's basketball team plays host to the Robert Morris Colonials on Sunday in the Cam Henderson Center.

HAVE YOU HERD
MU suffered its first loss of the season to the Toledo Rockets on Wednesday, 96-87, in overtime.
 
Marshall's loss snapped a seven-game win streak dating back to last year. It also snapped a six-game home winning streak dating back to a 64-60 loss to WKU inside the Cam Henderson Center on January 22, 2020.
 
The Herd has lost four straight to the Rockets. Toledo leads the all-time series, 37-23.
 
Three of the last six meetings between Marshall and Toledo have gone to overtime, including three of the last four in Huntington.
 
Wednesday marked the Thundering Herd's first overtime game of the season. The Herd defeated Louisiana Tech, 84-79, on February 8, 2020 in last season's lone overtime contest. Marshall has dropped four of its last five contests decided beyond regulation, dating back to the beginning of the 2018-19 season.
 
Marshall allowed more than 72 points for the first time this season. The Herd's 87 points was a season-high.
 
The Herd trailed at the half (42-39) for the second time this season (at Wright State, 34-29).
 
Marshall lost the rebound battle for the first time this season. Toledo outrebounded Marshall 48-37.
 
Taevion Kinsey led the team in points with 20. He has led the Herd in scoring in four of the five contests this season.
 
Kinsey re-entered the contest at 6:32 in the second half and played the remainder of the second half and all five minutes of overtime with four personal fouls.
 
Andrew Taylor with eight boards led Marshall in rebounds for the second consecutive game.
 
Jannson Williams set a season-high in blocks with five. He inches closer to the school record in blocks with 163 for his career, trailing only Hassan Whiteside (182) and Ajdin Penava (180).
 
SCOUTING ROBERT MORRIS
The Colonials are led by 11th-year head coach Andrew Toole. This is RMU's first season in the Horizon League after playing in the NEC.
 
Last season Robert Morris won the NEC Tournament and was poised for an NCAA Tournament appearance before the season came to a halt due to the COVID-19 pandemic.
 
The Herd won last season's matchup in the season opener 67-60 in Huntington.
 
The Colonials have beaten Point Park and lost to Bowling Green.
 
AJ Bramah leads the squad in points per game with 19.0 and rebounds with 7.5 per contest.
