The Herd fell 4-0 on Sunday
HUNTINGTON, W.Va – Marshall (7-4, 1-1 C-USA) fell to FIU (5-2, 2-0 C-USA) 4-0 on Sunday at the Huntington Tennis Club.
Marshall tennis dropped the doubles round to FIU, giving FIU the first point of the match.
"FIU played a good solid match, they just seemed to win the big points today, we dug ourselves in a hole," head coach John Mercer said. "I was really impressed on how we tried to dig ourselves out, we didn't give in."
On the singles side, Daniela Dankanych dropped her match, 6-1, 6-2. Jutte Van Hansewyck started off hot winning set one, 6-1, but then dropped sets two and three. Liz Stefancic fell in the first set but was able to bounce back in set two defeating Kristina Miletic but then lost in set three which secured the Panthers win.
Anna Smith put up a competitive fight against Kamilla Umarova, but they didn't finish the match.

2: Kristina Miletic and Sandra Bozinovic def. Anna Smith and Daniela Dankanych, 6-2
